The Role of Teachers in Overcoming Students’ Difficulties in Learning Mathematics at SD Negeri 3 Jatidatar. Thesis. Central Lampung: Faculty of Tarbiyah, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah (STIT) Al Mubarok, 2025. This research aims to identify the learning difficulties in Mathematics experienced by students and to describe the role of teachers in overcoming these difficulties at SD Negeri 3 Jatidatar. This study addresses the following problems: (1) whether students have difficulty learning mathematics in SD Negeri 3 Jatidatar. (2) How do teachers play a role in overcoming students’ Mathematics learning difficulties at SD Negeri 3 Jatidatar. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects of this study are guardian class and students of SD Negeri 3 Jatidatar. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique includes three stages: data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that students at SD Negeri 3 Jatidatar get difficulties in learning Mathematics, which are reflected in their low conceptual understanding, lack of learning motivation, and difficulty solving mathematical problems. These challenges are caused by several factors, such as insufficient mastery of basic mathematical concepts, an unsupportive learning environment, and low motivation. To give these issues, teachers play an essential role as facilitators, motivators, and guides. Teachers undertake various efforts such as providing remedial lessons, using engaging learning media, offering individual learning approaches, and communicating with parents to support students’ learning at home.
