Abstract

Abstract: The independent curriculum is an educational program that has been launched by the Indonesian government to provide freedom and flexibility to educational units in developing a curriculum that suits local needs, student characteristics and global challenges. The aims of this research are 1) To describe the problems faced by teachers in implementing the independent learning curriculum at MTsS Darussalam Bumi Nabung 2) To find out the problems faced by teachers regarding the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at MTsS Darussalam Bumi Nabung, 3) To find out the solutions to s faced by teachers regarding the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at MTsS Darussalam Bumi Nabung,. This research uses descriptive qualitative field research methods. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations and documents which were analyzed using interactive analysis. The results of the research are 1) s faced by teachers regarding the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at MTsS Darussalam Bumi Nabung,is that teachers must arrange learning outcomes, learning objectives, flow of learning objectives, teaching modules and designing learning. 20% are projects from intracurricular, science and social studies subjects are combined into IPAS, SBdP subjects are only taught in one area and project-based teaching and learning of Pancasila student profiles. 2) Teachers' problems in teachers' problems regarding the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at mtss darussalam bumi nabung are planning and implementing learning in the implementation of learning, students' books are limited, the teaching material is too broad, and it requires reasoning and teachers have difficulty in determining learning strategies and methods and in implementing project-based learning, teachers still have difficulty in determining class projects that are appropriate to the learning material. Teachers also have difficulty determining which assessments are suitable for the material and determining assessments in class and school project-based learning processes. 3) Solutions to the problem of teachers implementing the independent curriculum by attending meetings with teacher working groups or groups of subject teachers following independent curriculum training and coordinating with fellow teachers and looking for information or references about assessments in the independent learning curriculum, teachers do not require students to be able to memorize but participants students must understand the material being presented, the teacher writes the material on the board and makes student worksheets and takes notes and continues the class project at home.
