Peran Kepala Sekolah dalam Mengembangkan Program Esktrakulikuler untuk Meningkatkan Potensi Peserta Didik di SD Negeri 1 Jati Datar Lampung Tengah

Abstract

This research aims to describe the Role of the Principal in Developing Extracurricular Programs to Enhance Student Potential at SD Negeri 1 Jati Datar, Central Lampung. This research is a type of qualitative research, conducted at State Elementary School 1 Jati Datar, Central Lampung. Data collection methods were carried out by conducting observations, interviews, documentation, and data triangulation. The main sources of this research are: 1. School Principal, 2. Teacher Trainers, 3. Grade VI Students of State Elementary School 1 Jati Datar, Central Lampung. The data analysis process was carried out using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques, which is data analysis that produces descriptive data in oral or written form from the sources studied, in accordance with the actual conditions related to the Principal's Role in Developing Extracurricular Programs to Enhance Student Potential at SD Negeri 1 Jati Datar, Central Lampung. The results of this study indicate that: 1. The principal is good at planning extracurricular activities to develop students' potential, as they have won events from the sub-district to the district level. 2. The principal is good at supporting success factors such as infrastructure and facilities for extracurricular activities; the principal strives to provide what is needed to support extracurricular activities. 3. Extracurricular activities are bound to have obstacles; as the principal, you must collaborate with coaches and teachers to minimize them, and you must provide support and strive to complete the facilities needed for extracurricular activities.
