Abstract

This study has a study focus including planning the study of the Kitab Kuning, implementing the study of the Kitab Kuning and evaluating the study of the Kitab Kuning at MTs Salafiyah Kajen Margoyoso. This study used a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis approach. Sources of data include teachers of Kitab Kuning and document studies. The data collection is done by way of interviews, documentation, and observation. While the data analysis technique uses data reduction, data display, inference and verification. To test the validity of the data by way of trial, Pear Debriefing, and Referential Adequacy Checks.

The research findings show that lesson planning activities are carried out through general meetings with the teacher council, foundations, and educational staff. After that, the Kitab Kuning subject teachers held a deliberation meeting with fellow Kitab Kuning subject teachers or MGMP to make learning tools starting from Prota, Promissory Notes, Syllabus, and RPP. While in the implementation of learning there are 3 stages, namely opening, core, and closing. Various learning methods are used, namely bandongan, sorogan, question and answer. Whereas evaluation activities are carried out with midterm assessments, semester assessments for each academic year, and there is also a munaqosah exam for the final stage of evaluation when students will graduate.
